Travis Hawkes

Travis is a successful entrepreneur, investor, operator, business strategist, and problem solver. As CEO and Co-Founder at Capital Eleven, Travis leads multiple operating companies, investment funds, and the venture capital team and portfolio. Critical to his success is finding, hiring, and retaining talented people that make up the amazing team at Capital Eleven. Travis often talks about how “culture points all directions,” meaning that win/win relationships extend to everyone- co-workers, founders, investors, partners, customers, vendors, service providers, and the community. Building and improving those relationships is a daily priority.

As a lifelong entrepreneur himself, Travis understands firsthand what founders and operators go through in trying to do the hardest thing possible. Supporting founders and the ecosystem is a passion, and he loves to invest in great people and find ways to help them build to extraordinary outcomes. Capital Eleven focuses on investing in Idaho and the Mountain West but also makes investments throughout the United States. In addition to supporting the local eco-system through investment, Travis also originated the Founder Series in 2023 and co-chairs the Seed to Growth Conference held annually in Sun Valley.

Travis serves on multiple boards including the National Venture Capital Association. He earned his BBA in Business Management at the Boise State University College of Business and Economics and is a passionate Bronco fan. He was born and raised in Boise and is married with three children. He loves steak tacos and beaches.
